Lazy Bones

Uhg, boy have I not been posting. Thing is that towards the end of the year, I got really busy. The photo shoots stated to pile up and with the holidays on, my time with the store became hectic as all hell. I mean, look at my desk here. sheesh

But, sad news, the Medieval Starship closed. Not for any bad reasons, but the owner wanted to retire and travel more. So no more game store. And there is no photo work usually this time of year.

What have I been up to? Suddenly I have a plethora of free time. I have never been in a position like this. Instead of complainants of not enough time to get things done, now I have all the time in the world. But that is countered by the fact that any money spent, will not be replaced. There must be some kind of happy medium where we can make money, but still find time to do what we want. Lemma know if any of you figure that out. I'll tell the world.

In the meantime I am trying to possibly make a living as a photographer. Up till now I have been working as an assistant to to other photographers. Now I want to see if I can make money being my own shooter.

Only thing is, heh, I don't know how to go about it. You would think that all that experience working for professionals would rub off on me. But each persons situation is unique, as is mine.

So for now, I have just put my first stab at a professional portfolio up. Enjoy. Also, it is about time to use all this availability to update the Geek Speaks. The reason for that being so far behind has less to do with time and more the realization that writing is kind of torturous for me. I will get an idea, but trying to type it down often obliterates that idea. Writing and thinking are two entirely different gears in my head. But the whole point of the Geek Speaks was to force me to write more, so back to it I shall. After all, I still need to put down that Shadowrun article I keep promising.

So time to get this party started. My portfolio is up and will be updated. I have an e-mail now posted on the About page. And I plan on a more active presence on the "Webs" this 2019.

Thanks for your time and enjoy the show.
